What Do You Write About in Your London Blog?

Written by a 20-something female motorcyclist from London, Christie Kawasaki is a rather tongue in cheek look at all sorts of subjects ranging from Classics, Literature, Science, Religion, Current Affairs and Politics.

It aims to remain humourous and light hearted whilst still focussing on some of the otherwise serious issues facing the British Public today. The aim of writing is to give the reader something funny to read on the train on the way to work!

"Religion, Money and Politics. The three things I was once told not to discuss at work. Oh and Motorcycles. Obviously."

Why Did You Start Your London Blog?

Hehe! Much as I'm sure I shouldn't admit it, Belle de Jour (Who we now know as Brooke Magnanti) and her beautiful style of writing inspired me! Although my content is somewhat different from hers...

This blog was born out of a desire to write something a bit fun, but a bit serious too.

It looks at all sorts of things, including Classics, Literature, Science, Religion (Ancient and Modern...but mainly Ancient), Current Affairs, Politics, Life, Business, Oh and Motorcycles, obviously!

It aims to remain humourous and light hearted whilst still focussing on some of the otherwise serious issues facing the British Public today. The aim of writing is to give the reader something funny to read on the train on the way to work! But to also to give the reader something to think about, and to point out something "Quite Interesting" about the aforementioned subjects which they may not have known. Whilst being written by a motorcyclist, it is designed to be of interest to non motorcyclists as well.

Advice

  • Well, I'm still relatively new to this, but my best advice would be "Write about what enjoy writing about" It's good to read something where the writer's passion shows through.
  • My next best advice would be spellcheck your blog! Typos are the bane of my life and I learnt this one the hard way...
