When Was The Photo Taken?
This photo was taken on August 25, 2009.
Description of Your Photo
This is a photo of the Tower of London as seen from the River Thames on a river cruise. I like this photo because you can also see the Traitor's Gate entrance from the river. The name Traitors' Gate has been used since the early seventeenth century. Prisoners were brought by barge along the Thames, passing under London Bridge
Tips and Tricks
- Nothing fancy here but waiting for the right time to get a good photo of the Tower as the boat passed by.
What Inspired You?
We had gone on a tour of the Tower of London two days previously and then spent a couple of hours exploring on our own. I would highly recommend that all visitors to London go to the Tower of London and experience a tour with one of the Beefeater guards.
What Camera and Settings Did You Use?
I used a Nikon D70s with automatic setting.
