The National Theatre on London's South Bank runs regular backstage tours where you can find out more about the iconic building, see costumes and props, and behind the scenes of the three auditoriums.

Tour Review

Considering the amount of tours the National Theatre are running, I was impressed by how fresh the tour guide seemed and how enthusiastic she was to share her love of the building.

I found out more about the building and was able to ask questions from the knowledgeable guide.

We visited two of the three auditoriums and I discovered the seats in the Lyttelton are possibly the most comfortable theater seats in London, as well as being the longest row of seats allowed.

The guide skillfully took us through hidden doors and corridors but was careful to try and help us get our bearings by pointing out what was on the other side of the wall and what was outside nearby.

I saw auditoriums, studios, rehearsal rooms, props, costumes and all that combined with the chance to ask questions and see behind the scenes easily makes this worth the small ticket price.
