Guide Review - Me Love Sushi Review
Me Love Sushi (Swiss Cottage) is a bright and fresh restaurant with a big heart. They have a huge range of hot and cold dishes, salads, sushi, tempura, soup, noodles and rice all of which you order at the counter before taking a seat. Everything is prepared fresh, which adds to the fun of the place.
The food always has a nice balance of flavors: not too overpowering, but with a lightness and depth that you really want from Japanese food. While I prefer the healthier options of sushi and salads, their giant noodle bowls, and hot rice dishes are great comfort food and offer good value for money if you are watching your budget.
The decor is bright and cheerful, although a bit minimalist, and the seats aren't the comfiest. However, if you feel like staying for a drink after your meal, (and I recommend you do) there is a great lounge bar upstairs with a totally different atmosphere. The bar stocks a selection of unusual and fruit sakes, and they even make sake cocktails. The view from the windows are great for people watching, and if you are looking for a nice place to chill, this is ideal.
While other Japanese restaurants in London are all about show, with conveyor belts, pretentious decor, and fancy presentation (all included in the price of course!) this place focuses on friendly fast food, and does it well.
