Did you know, giraffes have the same number of neck bones as a human? (Seven bones.)
I like that fact.

Fun tip: Look at yourself in the wavy mirrors near the giraffes and see what you look like with a long neck!

There is a raised viewing platform near the giraffes so you can see them at their head height.

The Giraffe House was completed in 1837, and still serves its purpose – housing the giraffes. The doors are 16 foot (5 meters) in height and 21 foot (6.5 meters) at the eaves. Giraffes can be as tall as four and a half meters so the scale of the building's proportions is a direct response to the height of its residents.
