Tour de France 2007 London Photos
The Grand Depart: 6 to 8 July 2007

From Laura Porter, About.com

For the first time in its 100 year history, the Tour de France started in London in 2007. The Grand Départ - Stage One of the race - was in central London and Kent, to the south of London. Over a million visitors came to London to enjoy this spectacular event. (And this was on the same weekend as the Wimbledon Tennis Championship finals, Formula One British Grand Prix, Live Earth at Wembley Stadium, and the second anniversary of the 7 July London transport bombings.)
