JM Barrie (1860-1937), the author, gave all the rights to Peter Pan to Great Ormond Street Hospital in 1929 and they continue to receive royalties from all productions and book sales. How much this might be has never been revealed as this was a request of the author and the hospital has always honored his wishes.
This Peter Pan Statue was unveiled on 14 July 2000 by Lord and Lady Callaghan who were good friends to the hospital.
Tinker Bell was donated by the family of Ivan Vandermolen and unveiled on 29 September 2005 by HRH The Countess of Wessex.
