Nearly 30 ten foot high free-standing fiberglass Gibson Les Paul guitars were on display outside City Hall, by Tower Bridge, on the South Bank in 2007. Music legends such as Paul Weller, Paul McCartney, Noel Gallagher, and Ozzy Osborne worked with visual artists such as Sir Peter Blake and Gerald Scarfe to design their guitars and each guitar was signed by the associated musician to authenticate and endorse their own individual guitar. Gibson Guitar Town London is a unique charity inspired campaign bringing together the power of music with art to raise money for three chosen charities: The Princes Trust, Nordoff-Robbins Music Therapy, and Teenage Cancer Trust. The guitars were auctioned in October 2007.
