The Bermondsey Square Hotel is a new, stylish boutique hotel uniquely designed with a sense of humor and creative spirit. Four-legged friends are welcomed by Alfie, the Canine Ambassador and tribute to the dog-friendly nature of the hotel – a papier-mache fox terrier who waits in the lobby to greet dog guests. Pooches are pampered at the Bermondsey Square Hotel and their own beds are provided for their comfort.

Citadines Apart Hotel Holborn-Covent Garden is a ten minute walk from Covent Garden or the Oxford Street shopping area, and only a five minute walk from the British Museum.

5. Sofitel London St. James

From About.com's Guide to Hotels:
The former Cox's & King's bank is solidly in touch with its masculine side, while consenting to a few feminine touches. The location, a short stroll from Buckingham Palace, St. James's Park and Big Ben, is perfect for London sightseers. Black and white marble floors, vibrant flowers and commissioned art seamlessly blend staid British tradition with French savoir-faire.
