Guide Review - Movies on the Menu at One Aldwych

I tried the Sunday brunch option in the Indigo Restaurant. The dining chairs in Indigo are actually soft armchairs which give a relaxed and informal setting. The restaurant is light but not too bright. Indigo overlooks the Lobby Bar which is a wonderful view as it is a stunning space. I'm pleased to say there was no unecessary background music.

Indigo prides itself on its relaxed and informal atmosphere while certainly not scrimping on service. All waiting staff are well-trained on the menu and how to advise and help with special dietary requirements. Indigo serves organic produce as light, healthy meals. Not that you feel you are missing out as my dessert of Chocolate Soufflé with elderflower sorbet and gooseberry coulis was certainly indulgent. My partner's Jelly and Ice-cream dessert was the fanciest version I have ever seen and was equally delicious. My main course was the vegetarian burger option which was enormous but maybe a little wet as it was made with sweet potato, goat's cheese, and spinach. My partner's Smoked Haddock Risotto included poached eggs and was very filling. We enjoyed a leisurely 3 course meal before moving downstairs to the movie screening room.

Movie Theater
The private screening room has only 30 seats but they are huge, blue leather cinema seats; each with a pull-out table in the armrest for your drink. As it was a Sunday afternoon we chose to have tea served in the movie theater but you can have wine or cocktails if you prefer. You will be pleased to know, popcorn is provided.

Who is it For?
All age groups seemed to enjoy this but the majority were couples, either friends or partners.

Conclusion
I think this is well-priced package for a meal and a movie. For a high-end luxury hotel all the staff are very welcoming and do their best to ensure you have a wonderful time. I would recommended this package.
