These mannequins caused controversy as they have more than a passing similarity to Frank Sidebottom, a character created by the late Chris Sievey. Following complaints, Selfridges paid Chris Sievey's family £10,000 and added a credit line to each window featuring these mannequins: With thanks to Frank Sidebottom created by the late Chris Sievey.
