The Bottom Line
Sea Shell of Lisson Grove has been around for 30 years. There is a restaurant and a takeaway fish and chips shop. This restaurant is included in the Best Fish and Chips in London.
Sea Shell had a major fire in August 2009 but has been refurbished and has now reopened.

Guide Review - Sea Shell of Lisson Grove
The area was once popular with Jewish customers so the fish does seem to be even better on Fridays. The cod in particular tastes fresher and flakier at the end of the week.
Takeaway is also available and I would recommend it as you get the same food as in the restaurant but for half the price. There are some tables outside where you can eat your takeaway or ask for your meal to be wrapped and walk for 10 minutes and you can sit in Regent's Park, as I did.
Sea Shell's fish in batter is fresh and not too greasy, and the chips are usually just right: a good 'fat' size, crispy on the outside, and fluffy on the inside.
