Question: How Do I Get to London From London Luton Airport?

Located about 30 miles (48km) north of London, London Luton Airport (LTN) is one of the UK's fastest growing airports.

Answer:

Traveling by Train between Luton Airport and Central London

Luton Airport Parkway station is close to the airport and a regular shuttle bus connects the two. Rail passengers can purchase through tickets to the airport, other users can purchase tickets for £1.00 each way.

First Capital Connect (formerly Thameslink) operate up to six trains per hour to and from St. Pancras International, London Bridge, Farringdon, London City Thameslink and Blackfriars station. (Note, Blackfriars underground station is closed from 2 March 2009 until late 2011 as part of Network Rail's Thameslink upgrade program.) Journey time is from 35 minutes. An hourly service operates through the night to and from St. Pancras International and Blackfriars. However, please note there are no trains between approximately 01.00 and 03.00.

East Midlands Trains (formerly Midland Mainline) operate a frequent service from St. Pancras to and from Luton Airport Parkway station. Journey time is from 21 minutes between 06.00 (09.00 Sundays) and 23.15.

Coach Services between Luton Airport and Central London

Greenline route 757 operates up to four coaches per hour to and from Baker Street, Marble Arch and Victoria, 24 hours a day. Journey time from 65 minutes.

The Easy Bus service from Luton Airport has been incorporated into Greenline service 757. Online fares are much cheaper.

Orbis Air Link is a new service between Luton Airport and destinations in west London.

By Taxi between Luton Airport and Central London

There are usually cabs queuing for customers at Luton airport. Enquire with the driver beforehand how much your journey will cost. A metered trip to/from central London will cost about £85. Tipping is not compulsory, but 10 is considered the norm. Only use a reputable mini-cab and never use unauthorized drivers who offer their services at airports or stations.
