Traveling by Docklands Light Railway (DLR) between London City Airport and Central London

The airport has a dedicated station on the DLR. Journey times are 18 minutes to Canary Wharf and 22 minutes to Bank. Trains run approximately every 10 minutes departing Canary Wharf/Bank between 05.32 (07.07 on Sundays) and 00.17 and departing City Airport between 05.54 (06.58 on Sundays) and 00.17.

A single fare to Zone 1 costs from £2.20 with an Oyster card and £4 cash fare.

The Shuttle Bus service to and from the airport has now been withdrawn.

Traveling by Tube between London City Airport and Central London

The nearest tube station is Canning Town on the Jubilee Line. From there join DLR to London City Airport (10 minutes).

By Taxi between London City Airport and Central London

You can usually find a queue of black cabs outside the airport. The fare is metered, but watch for extra charges such as late night or weekend journeys. Tipping is not compulsory, but 10 is considered the norm. Expect to pay at least £20 to get to Central London. Only use a reputable mini-cab and never use unauthorized drivers who offer their services at airports or stations.
