Get Ready for Pancake Day in London

By February 6, 2013

Follow me on:

It's not long to Shrove Tuesday (Tuesday 12 February 2013) which is the day before Lent in the Christian calendar when people have to give up things they enjoy. So we celebrate in the UK by eating pancakes! I love Pancake Day (as it's more commonly known) so I've put together some Pancake Day information including a pancake recipe and details of the Pancake Day races. Yes, in London people run a race course while flipping pancakes in a frying pan. It's a tradition!

I've enjoyed watching these two Pancake Day Races: Rehab UK Parliamentary Pancake Race and The Inter-Livery Pancake Race. The Rehab UK Parliamentary Pancake Race is outside the Houses of Parliament in the morning so you can then nip across to the Guildhall in the City to see the The Inter-Livery Pancake Race which goes on till 1pm.
