Last year I got to try whitewater rafting at the Lea Valley White Water Centre and this year it has been used as the London 2012 Olympics Canoe Slalom venue. Whitewater rafting was immensely exhilarating and totally recommended. Yes, you'll get wet but you'll have a ridiculous amount of fun. (You can see more photos of my escapades on the VisitBritain Super Blog.)The good news for you is that the centre is open to the public again from 8 September and you too can try the rapids just outside of London. It's easy to get there and it makes a great day out. Find out more on the official website: visitleevalley.org.uk.
