I heard a woman talking on the phone on the bus recently telling her friend she'd just realized she had left her purse on the tube and didn't know what to do. When she finished her call I told her about the TfL London Property Office where everything lost of the tubes, trains, buses and taxis ends up and she was thrilled to know there was hope she might get her purse back. She called and cancelled the cards and there wasn't much cash in it, thankfully, but she had photos, scribbled notes from her children, and silly little things that were important to her and no-one else.If this ever happens to you, don't worry. A lot of items do get handed in every day. If you know you lost something at a specific tube station, then talk to the Station Office. If it was on a bus, call the nearest bus garage. But after a couple of days everything ends up at the central TfL Lost Property Office and there's an online form where you can submit a claim and they'll do their best to find your missing item.
