If you don't know about the Doggett's Coat and Badge Race I wouldn't be surprised. I only learned about the race a few years ago, yet the event has been taking place annually for nearly 300 years! Find out more...A special Diamond Jubilee Coat and Badge Wager is planned by the Watermen's Company on 4 September 2012. It will be held between London Dock and London Bridge/Fishmonger's Hall during the morning. The race takes about 25 to 30 minutes. A blue Diamond Jubilee Coat is planned with a Badge modeled on an existing Watermen's badge.
