Free Music Download with Gatwick Express

Just because they can, Gatwick Express have commissioned Olympic medal ceremony composer Phillip Sheppard to create a piece of music to accompany the train journey on the Gatwick Express, from London Victoria to Gatwick Airport. The 30-minute track is a tribute to the route and Sheppard hopes the music will give passengers some escape from their travel concerns and time to "depressurize" from their time in London.

I've tried the route with the music and it works well, really well. The Milk and Benga have also contributed to the composition and their diverse musical skills come together to offer Gatwick Express customers something rather special.

The music isn't blaring out on the trains and has to be downloaded from their website when you make a train booking. (It's quite a big file, so download to your computer and then move it onto your MP3 player, etc.) Find out more on the official website.

P.S. Yes, I am listening to the tracks again while typing this! Image: © Laura Porter | London Travel Blog
