For years I'd wondered if the Rolling Bridge in Paddington really existed as I'd seen pictures, even videos of it uncurling, but I'd never met anyone who could find it.Liking a challenge, one Friday, I set off with @IsabellesTravel to find the Rolling Bridge. Everyone we asked had never heard of it yet we saw it on the local map at the tube station so had some basic directions. Luckily we found it with a minute to spare as this bizarre bridge spends all week curled up before it unrolls at midday on Fridays, and then is rolled back up again.
We had a quick chat with the staff who operate the bridge and they told us they'd been doing it for years. Sometimes no-one comes to watch and sometimes there's a crowd but they always do it, whatever the weather. See photos and find out more about the Rolling Bridge and enjoy these detailed Rolling Bridge directions so you don't get lost on the way.
