Incredibly, after joining The Tea Guild less than a year ago, The Palm Court at The Langham has won the Tea Council's Top London Tea Award 2010. Previous winners include Brown's Hotel, The Lanesborough, Claridges, The Ritz and The Dorchester - all hotels synonymous with the elegance of afternoon tea - and now The Langham joins these illustrious names.

The Palm Court at The Langham London is famed as the place where the tradition of afternoon tea was born. The hotel has undergone a complete, but sympathetic, refurbishment and reminds you of the era when the hotel opened in 1865 when Victorian society gathered to enjoy the indulgent splendors offered by The Langham.

The Tea Guild's experts visit annonymously and their comments included: "beautiful furnishings... exceptional service... and welcoming staff." I've had afternoon tea at The Langham (yes, I know you're not surprised) and here's my review: Langham London Afternoon Tea Review.
