Kiss and Ride?
Monday July 13, 2009
When I visited the Winsor & Newton Paint Factory earlier this year I saw this 'Kiss and Ride' sign by Harrow & Wealdstone train station. I have admit I'd never seen this term before but it seems it's quite common in the US and Canada.Simply, Kiss and Ride means a drop off point for car drivers where you can kiss your passenger goodbye and leave them to get the train. I've since heard of the term also being used near schools as the designated drop off zone for children.
Thankfully you don't have to kiss the driver when being dropped off at this train station so cab drivers are saved the embarrassment! Image: © Laura Porter | London Travel Blog | Follow AboutLondon on Twitter

I think it’s a lovely term!
