Fourth Plinth Practice

By May 15, 2009

Follow me on:

I told you a couple of months ago about the Antony Gormley art project for the Fourth Plinth in Trafalgar Square where he wants a different person on the plinth every hour, 24 hours a day, for 100 days without a break beginning on 6 July 2009. This morning there was a practice where possible candidates came together to give us an idea of what we can expect in July.

I was tipped off about this event by Lauren from Stitch and Bitch London as she was actually in the photocall (in the middle).

It turns out planning permission hasn't been granted yet for this project so it seems somewhat presumptuous of the Gormley team to carry on promoting the event but I guess they hope the publicity will leave Westminster Council with no choice but to give the go ahead.
