Somerset House Christmas Design Market

Somerset House, an 18th century palace on the banks of the River Thames, by Waterloo Bridge, is hosting an Affordable Design Fair and Super Christmas Market from 19 to 21 December 2008. 20 of the UK's best young designers will be selling limited edition and batch-produced design items between £5 and £50 during the final three days of the exhibition Wouldn't it be nice.. at Somerset House. The weekend before Christmas Martino Gamper, Tatty Devine, Lady Luck Rules OK, Gitta Gschwendtner and many others will bring affordable Christmas present ideas direct to the Super Christmas Market. Last minute Christmas shoppers with an eye for great design will be able to buy personalised jewellery, win prizes in the 'snowball throwing' competition and make their own gifts.
