Heathrow Terminal 5 Problems

I'd been avoiding commenting on the 'teething' problems of Heathrow Airport's new Terminal 5 but, as you already know, I was involved in the trials that were supposed to stop these issues:

If you need to check on the status of your BA flight from/to Terminal 5 call: 0800 727 800. I feel London is already get a bad name in the travel press because of Terminal 5 so I thought it would be more useful to share my* best tips to deal with airport delays.

• 1. Resign yourself to it and accept that you can't do anything about it.
• 2. Buy a book to read or puzzles to do.
• 3. Nab a seat where you can see the flight information screens - and try to keep it.
• 4. Drink plenty of water to stay rehydrated.
• 5. Buy some more airtime for your cell and catch up with your friends...??
