London Transport Museum

Friday December 14, 2007
The London Transport Museum reopened a few weeks ago after undergoing a £22.4 million refurbishment. I visited with a friend and our toddlers who were in heaven. Why do all children like trains and buses?! There's plenty of detail for the enthusiast and lots of things to try out for those us who like a 'hands on' museum. Dress up and pretend to drive a bus or drive a tube train with a computer simulator. We spent most a day there as there's so much to see and do. There are dedicated play areas for the over 6 year olds and under 6 year olds and I enjoyed both!

I have romantic memories of the London Transport Museum though I’ve never actually been inside. It’s where we arranged to meet on the evening of our first date, nearly 20 years ago. Maybe next time we’re in London, we should go inside?
