London Santa Skate
Friday December 14, 2007
The annual London Santa Skate is in its fourth year and promises to be bigger than ever this Christmas! Over 300 participants are expected tomorrow on Saturday 15 December 2007 at 2-4pm.
Go to the Victoria Public House on Strathearn Place, London, W2 2NH to be issued with a fab Santa outfit, then the skating Santas assemble on Serpentine Road in Hyde Park at 5pm opposite the bandstand before embarking on a two hour street skate around the roads of central London covering a distance of approximately 10 miles. As ever, this is a marshaled skate plus you'll be accompanied by the London Skate Sound System and Thumper Crew. The skate is planned at a leisurely pace around some of London's top tourist spots by the trusty skating reindeers and the London Friday Night Sound Sleigh. There's a half time stop for mince pies in Trafalgar Square at around 6pm and after a short break the skating Santas will return to the streets for another hour before heading back to the Victoria Pub for the Serpentine Rd Crew Christmas Party.
Previous years have been an amazing success and it's a brilliant opportunity to capture the spirit of Christmas. Check all details at www.santaskate.com.
Don't forget to also visit Winter Wonderland in Hyde Park for the largest open air ice rink in London and a great German Christmas Market. For the really adventurous, try the Bungy Dome!
