Waist Bags Aren't Hand Luggage

Thursday October 25, 2007
I've heard from travelers who have had items stolen from their luggage, particularly when changing planes. It can be very frustrating as you can't take much hand luggage these days so what can you do? Packing any valuables in our luggage is always a risk but my top tip is to use a waist bag (US = fanny pack, UK = bum bag) as, even when fully-loaded, these never seem to be counted as a carry-on bag.
