Tour de France in London

For the first time in its 100 year history, in 2007 the Tour de France will be starting in London. The dates for your diary are:

• Friday 6 July 2007 - Opening Ceremony in Trafalgar Square
• Saturday 7 July 2007 - Prologue (5 mile race around central London)
• Sunday 8 July 2007 - Stage One (race around central London and down to Canterbury near the south coast of England)

The Tour de France in London will go past some iconic London landmarks including the Houses of Parliament, Buckingham Palace, and the London Eye.
