Westminster Abbey: Slave Trade Abolition Events

Monday March 19, 2007
Westminster Abbey, next to the Houses of Parliament is marking the bicentenary of the Abolition of the Slave Trade Act with three free events. Everyone is welcome at all events, plus no tickets are required.
  • Monday 19 March 2007, 6.15pm
    Lecture: Olaudah Equiano, Black Abolitionist.
  • Tuesday 20 March 2007, 6pm
    Lecture: The Abbey and the Abolition of the Slave Trade.
  • Sunday 25 March 2007, 6.30pm
    A special service of commemoration open to all.
