Trafalgar Square Lions Get Their Scarves

Stitch and Bitch London, London's friendly knitting group are putting 150+ feet of scarf round the necks of the four Trafalgar Square lions around the base of Nelson's Column! And just in time as there's talk of snow this week.

Where: Trafalgar Square
Nearest tube station: Charing Cross

The four giant scarves have been handknitted by over 150 knitters from around the world and are actually more than three times the height of Nelson's Column itself! The whole event has taken months of planning and is in aid of Cancer Research UK. I think it's going to be a lot of fun so do try and be there, but if you can't you can see Trafalgar Square from these two web cams:
