Chinese New Year Celebrations in London

Happy Chinese New Year! Today (Sunday 18 February 2007) we are welcoming in the Year of the Pig. London has a festival and parade from Chinatown to Trafalgar Square, organized by the London Chinatown Chinese Association.
The V&A has family workshops to celebrate the Chinese New Year today, from 11am to 5pm.
Families can try making a dragon headdress or opera mask, as well as dressing up in Chinese costumes. Celebrations include Lion Dance performances, kung fu and acrobatic demonstrations, Chinese Yaogu dance troupe, traditional folk dances, and music. There will also be workshops and demonstrations including tea tasting and New Year delicacies, noodle pulling, calligraphy, Chinese chess, and mahjong.
