Carbon Neutral Flights Between London and New York
Thursday January 25, 2007
The world's first carbon neutral airline, Silverjet, starts service today (25 January 2007) between London Luton and New York Newark Airport. Silverjet's fares include a mandatory carbon contribution within its fares to offset its total emissions. But does this increase the cost to passengers? Surprisingly, no. The business class British airline, Silverjet, are offering return flights (round trip) from £999 (US$1,967 approx.). Customers can enjoy a 30 minute check in at the airline's private air terminal, plus an award winning flat bed on board.
