British Airways Cabin Crew Strikes
Thursday January 25, 2007
The Transport & General Workers Union (T&G) British Airways cabin crew members are striking on Tuesday 30 January and Wednesday 31 January 2007. Further 72-hour strikes are planned beginning on Monday 5 February and Monday 12 February. British Airways is negotiating with the Union to try and change these plans but for now be aware if you are traveling on these dates. Check the latest information on the British Airways web site.
This news follows the British Airways baggage handlers fiasco in December when London experienced foggy conditions and pasengers are still waiting for their luggage to be returned. BA baggage staff handle luggage for other airlines too so there are thousands of people without their bags.
In days gone by I would always have booked with British Airways as the service was superb but now I will take these problems into consideration when booking future flights.
