Oz at the Unicorn Theatre

Friday August 4, 2006
The Unicorn Theatre, the UK's first ever purpose-built professional theatre for children, has a new play called Oz opening today (4 August 2006) which runs till 10 September 2006. Oz is inspired by the Wonderful Wizard of Oz by L. Frank Baum.

The play is set in a quiet Victorian office in Chicago, USA, where author L. Frank Baum is writing his famous book, The Wonderful Wizard of Oz. A little girl called Dot is hiding in his house and Baum tells her about his story of Dorothy, the Wicked Witch, etc. and together they transform the office into the Land of Oz.

A Kid's Week offer will run for this play: One child (aged between 5 and 16) can go free to see Oz, when accompanied by a full paying adult, and another two children can go for half price.
