Young People's Workshops at the V&A
Friday July 21, 2006
The Victoria & Albert Museum regularly runs workshops and events for young people. I really like the look of 'Re-use and Re-create' on Friday 11 August 2006. This one day workshop for 11-13 years olds runs from 11am to 4.30pm and costs £11. Children are asked to bring an old item of clothing that they can customise to make a fashionable new look. (Garments are available so don't worry if you haven't brought anything they can use.)
While the kids make a new fashion item, you'll have plenty fo time to enjoy the V&A museum. Why not go and see the Che Guevara: Revolutionary and Icon exhbition?
Re-use and Re-create runs again on Friday 18 August 2006 for 14-15 year olds.
Booking details: Numbers are limited and tickets must be booked in advance. You can pay by credit or debit card over the phone. Call +44 (0)20 7942 2211, 9am-5.30pm, seven days a week, or email bookings: office@vam.ac.uk to book. It is advisable to bring a pack lunch for the day sessions.
