By June 30, 2006

As an alternative to watching the World Cup, check out what Trafalgar Square has to offer this weekend. Each event will attract a core following, but if you're Canadian, gay, and have kids then you'll be down there all weekend! Joking aside, these events welcome everyone so head on down and have some fun.

Friday 30 June 2006, 2-9pm:
Canada Day in Trafalgar Square
This is the first year we've celebrated Canada's national day. As there's brilliant sunshine today, get on down to Trafalgar Square today and enjoy the fun.

Saturday 1 July 2006, 1pm-late:
Europride Day
This is the culmination of two weeks of events for London's Gay Pride. Saturday sees the most amazing Parade starting at 1pm, and the rally starts in Trafalgar Square at 3pm.

Sunday 2 July 2006, 2-5pm:
Children's Art Day
Children's Art Day is taking place at Trafalgar Square, The National Gallery, and The National Portrait Gallery. At 1.30pm and 3.30pm there's family drawing at The National Gallery, and at 1pm and 3pm there's a cartoon-drawing workshop at The National Portrait Gallery. Throughout the afternoon there will be live animation and performance in Trafalgar Square.
